Halie's eyes flash with an otherworldly light, and she raises a hand to gesture towards the mirrors. The reflections ripple, distorting into grotesque parodies of herself and her companions. Serrine's face appears in one mirror, her expression serene as she reaches out a hand to touch the glass. But as she does, her body contorts into impossible shapes, twisting like wax in a furnace. The force field holding Varrika captive begins to falter, its power weakening by the second. The crystal at the bottom of the pit pulses with an intense, blinding light, its influence coursing through Varrika's mind like a river of madness. Suddenly, Varrika's body jerks violently, her eyes rolling back in her head as she stumbles forward, her mace clattering to the ground.

Merrin · Rogue

I feel my heart leap into my throat as I watch Varrika stumble forward, her body jerking violently as she collapses to the ground. The force field holding her captive has finally given way, but whatever power is coursing through her mind has left her vulnerable and exposed. I take a step towards her, my mace raised and ready to strike at whatever emerges from the twisted mirrors surrounding us. Halie's eyes flash with an otherworldly light, her voice dripping with malevolence as she gestures towards the reflections. "Look closely," she warns. "That is not Serrine."

I feel a chill run down my spine as I realize the truth of her words. The creature in the mirror may look like Serrine, but it is not her. It is something else, something twisted and corrupted by the power of this place. But even as fear threatens to overwhelm me, I know that I can't let it stop me. Varrika needs my help, and I won't leave her behind. I take another step forward, my eyes scanning the chamber for any sign of danger or salvation. The crystal at the bottom of the pit pulses with an otherworldly light, its power surging through my mind like a river of madness. But even as it threatens to overwhelm me, I know that I can't let it win. I take a deep breath, steeling myself for whatever lies ahead. "Varrika!" I call out, my voice echoing through the chamber. "Can you hear me? Stay with me, we'll get through this together!"

I raise my mace, ready to strike at whatever emerges from those twisted reflections. Whatever faces us in this labyrinth of madness, I'll be ready for it. I won't let them win. "Halie," I say, my voice shaking slightly but determined. "If that really is you... we need to work together to get out of here. Can you hear me?"

I take a deep breath, my muscles tensing as I prepare for whatever lies ahead. The force field has given way, and Varrika lies unconscious on the ground, her mace clattering beside her. Halie's eyes flash with an otherworldly light, her voice dripping with malevolence as she gestures towards the twisted reflections in the mirrors surrounding us. Serrine's face appears in one of the mirrors, but as she reaches out a hand to touch the glass, her body contorts into impossible shapes, twisting like wax in a furnace. "That is not Serrine," Halie warns, and I feel a chill run down my spine at the truth of her words. I take a step towards Varrika, my mace raised and ready to strike at whatever emerges from those reflections. But even as I move, I can feel the power of the crystal surging through my mind, threatening to overwhelm me with its madness. "Varrika!" I call out, my voice echoing through the chamber. "Can you hear me? Stay with me, we'll get through this together!"

But even as I speak, I can see that Varrika is not responding. Her body lies still and lifeless on the ground, her eyes rolled back in her head. I feel a surge of panic rise up inside me as I realize the danger we are in. But even as fear threatens to overwhelm me, I know that I can't let it stop me. Varrika needs my help, and I won't leave her behind. But even as I speak, I can feel the power of the crystal growing stronger, its influence coursing through my mind like a river of madness. And I know that if we don't find a way out of here soon, we may all be lost forever in this twisted realm.

Varrika

Varrika · Fighter

Varrika groans, her eyes fluttering open as she slowly regains consciousness. Her head throbs with a dull ache, and she can feel the lingering effects of the crystal's power still coursing through her veins. "Merrin?" she calls out, her voice hoarse and weak. "Are you there?"

She struggles to sit up, her muscles trembling with exhaustion as she reaches for her mace. The weapon feels heavy in her hand, but she knows that she may need it if they are to have any hope of escaping this place. "Where are we?" she asks, her eyes scanning the chamber for any sign of danger or salvation.

As her vision focuses, Varrika sees the twisted reflections in the mirrors, their grotesque shapes sending a shiver down her spine. She can hear Halie's voice, dripping with malevolence as she warns them not to trust the images they see. "Halie," she says, her voice barely above a whisper. "Is that really you? What's happening here?"

Varrika takes a deep breath, steeling herself for whatever lies ahead. She knows that they are in grave danger, and that they must work together if they are to have any hope of survival. But even as she prepares for battle, she can feel the madness of this place threatening to overwhelm her, its power seeping into her mind like a poison. "Merrin," she calls out once more, her voice echoing through the chamber. "We need to find Serrine and get out of here. But be careful... I don't know what we're dealing with, but it's not going to be easy."
