Halie's eyes flash with an otherworldly light, and she raises a hand to gesture towards the mirrors. The reflections ripple, distorting into grotesque parodies of herself and her companions. Serrine's face appears in one mirror, her expression serene as she reaches out a hand to touch the glass. But as she does, her body contorts into impossible shapes, twisting like wax in a furnace. "Look closely," Halie warns, her voice dripping with malevolence. "That is not Serrine."

I feel a chill run down my spine as I watch Halie gesture towards the mirrors, their surfaces rippling and distorting into grotesque parodies of ourselves. Serrine's face appears in one, her expression serene as she reaches out a hand to touch the glass. But as she does, her body contorts into impossible shapes, twisting like wax in a furnace. "That is not Serrine," Halie warns, her voice dripping with malevolence. I feel a surge of anger and fear as I realize that whatever we're facing here, it's far more than just a simple magical trap. The crystal at the bottom of the pit pulses with an otherworldly light, its power surging through my mind like a river of madness. I can feel my thoughts starting to fragment, the madness creeping in at the edges of my consciousness. But even as fear threatens to overwhelm me, I know that I can't let it win. Varrika is trapped in that force field, and Serrine... I don't know where she is, but I have to find her. I take a deep breath, steeling myself for whatever lies ahead. "Halie," I say, my voice shaking slightly. "If that really is you... we need to work together to get out of here. Can you hear me?"

I raise my mace, ready to strike at whatever emerges from those mirrors. But even as I do, I know that I can't let myself be drawn into their twisted visions. Whatever faces me in this labyrinth of madness, I'll have to be ready for a fight. "Varrika," I call out, my voice echoing through the chamber. "Hold on! I'm coming for you!"

I take a deep breath, my muscles tensing as I prepare for whatever lies ahead. The force field ripples around Varrika, its power weakening by the second. I know that when it finally gives way, she'll be in danger, and I have to be ready to move fast and strike hard. Whatever faces me in this twisted realm, I'll be ready for them. "Come on," I mutter under my breath, my eyes fixed on the crystal at the bottom of the pit. "Show me what you've got. I can handle anything you throw at me."

I take a deep breath, my muscles tensing as I prepare for whatever lies ahead. The force field ripples around Varrika, threatening to give way at any moment. I know that whatever faces me in this labyrinth of madness, I must be ready to fight with everything I have. "Varikka," Merrin's voice echoes through the chamber, tinged with fear and confusion. "Hold on! I'm coming for you!"

I feel a surge of warmth at Merrin's words, knowing that they're out there somewhere, fighting to get to me. But I also know that we're both in danger here, and I can't let my guard down for even a second. I take a deep breath, steeling myself for whatever lies ahead. The force field ripples around me, threatening to give way at any moment. I know that whatever faces me in this labyrinth of madness, I must be ready to fight with everything I have.

Varrika

Varrika · Fighter

I strain against the magical force field holding me captive, my muscles burning with effort. The crystal's power surges through my veins, its influence growing stronger by the second. I can feel my thoughts starting to fragment, the madness creeping in at the edges of my mind. "Merrin!" I call out, my voice strained. "I don't know what's happening here, but we can't trust anything in this place. It's all trying to mess with our heads."

I take a deep breath, steeling myself for whatever lies ahead. The force field ripples around me, threatening to give way at any moment. "Merrin," I continue, my voice steady and determined. "I need you to stay focused. Find Serrine, get her somewhere safe. And then... then come back for me."

My eyes dart between the swirling mirrors, searching for any sign of danger or salvation. Halie's presence, or the creature wearing her face, sends a chill down my spine. I know that whatever faces me in this labyrinth of madness, I must be ready to fight with everything I have. "Halie," I say, my voice soft but firm. "If that really is you... we need to work together to get out of here. Can you hear me?"

I tighten my grip on my mace, my muscles tensing as I prepare for the inevitable release from the force field. Whatever happens next could mean the difference between life and death, and I'm determined to see my party through to the end, no matter the cost. "Merrin," I call out one last time, my voice echoing through the chamber. "Stay safe out there. And whatever you do... don't let them get inside your head. We'll find a way out of this together."
