Round 84 Transcript
Episode 1 · Episode Round 1

As Varrika calls out to Merrin, the magical force field holding her in place begins to distort and ripple, as if responding to Merrin's words. The ancient mirrors surrounding her start to shift and change, reflecting different versions of themselves. Suddenly, a figure steps out of one of the mirrors - it's Halie, her eyes black as coal, her skin deathly pale. "I'm here," she says in a voice that's not quite her own. "But it's not me you want to find."
The dwarf warrior's eyes narrow as she stares at the figure in the mirror, her hand tightening around her mace. "Halie," she growls, her voice thick with suspicion. "Is that really you? Or are you just another trick of this damnable place?" She strains against the magical bonds holding her in place, her muscles bulging with effort. The force field ripples and distorts, but refuses to yield. Varrika takes a deep breath, trying to calm her racing heart. "Listen," she says, her voice steady and low. "I don't know what's happening here, but we need to work together if we want to get out of this alive." She glances around at the swirling mirrors, her eyes narrowing as she takes in the distorted reflections. "Whatever this place is, it's trying to mess with our heads. And I'll be damned if I let it win."
She turns back to Halie, her expression softening slightly. "Halie," she says, her voice gentle but firm. "If that really is you in there... I need you to focus. We're in danger here, and we need to stick together if we want to survive." She takes a step towards the mirror, her hand outstretched. "Can you hear me? Can you tell me what's happening on your end?"
Varrika's heart pounds in her chest as she waits for Halie's response, her eyes darting between the figure in the mirror and the swirling madness of the chamber around her. She knows that time is running out, and that whatever happens next could mean the difference between life and death. But she also knows that she can't afford to let her fear control her. Not now, not ever.
I gasp as Varrika disappears into the chamber, the force field trapping her inside. My heart races as I try to process what's happening. The air crackles with eldritch energy, and I can feel a sense of dread washing over me. "Varikka!" I shout, my voice echoing through the chamber. "Can you hear me? Are you okay?"
