As Varrika presses forward, the passageway's walls begin to shake more violently. The air crackles with magical energy, and the whispering grows louder, seeming to come from all directions at once. "You... can't escape... the trial..." it whispers, the words echoing in Varrika's mind like a cruel mantra. Suddenly, a section of the wall slides open, revealing a hidden chamber beyond. The crystal at the bottom of the pit pulses with an intense, blinding light, its power growing stronger by the second. Merrin's eyes widen as she takes in the sight. "Varrika, I think we have to go through that opening," she says, her voice laced with concern. "But are you ready for what might be waiting on the other side?" The structural instability in the tower walls intensifies, causing the ground to tremble beneath Varrika's feet. She knows they need to move quickly, or risk being trapped forever.

Merrin

Merrin · Rogue

I feel a chill run down my spine at Serrine's words, her voice strained with agony. The crystal at the bottom of the pit continues to pulse with an otherworldly light, its power growing stronger by the second. Varrika's face is etched with concern as she supports Serrine's limp form. I know that we need to get Serrine out of here, away from whatever that crystal is doing to her. But I also know that we can't afford to let our guard down, not even for a second. This place... it's not right. The air crackles with magical energy, making it hard to think straight. As I peer into the opening, my heart races with anticipation and dread. The hidden chamber beckons, its secrets waiting to be uncovered. But I can't shake the feeling that danger lurks within, ready to strike at any moment. "Varrika, I think we have to go through that opening," I say, my voice laced with concern. "But are you ready for what might be waiting on the other side?"

Varrika

Varrika · Fighter

My stomach twists into knots as I stare at the hidden chamber. The air practically sizzles with eldritch energy. Whatever lies beyond that threshold, it won't be a friendly welcoming. But Merrin's right. We can't stay here. Not with the tower shaking itself apart around us. And we sure as hells aren't leaving Serrine behind. I adjust my grip on her limp form, securing her against my chest. "You heard the rogue," I mutter, more to myself than anyone else. "Time to see what fresh madness awaits."

My hand tightens around the haft of my mace. I take a deep breath, steeling myself for whatever horrors may come. Then, with a grim nod to Merrin, I step forward into the unknown. Let's hope we're not making a terrible mistake. But one way or another, we'll face it together.
