Round 77 Transcript
Episode 1 · Episode Round 1

Serrine's eyes roll back in her head, and she whispers a single word: "Father..." The air around her begins to ripple with a faint, otherworldly energy as if the crystal is drawing power from her very being. Varrika's grip on Serrine's arm tightens, her knuckles white with concern.
I feel a surge of unease as I hear Serrine's whispered word: "Father..." The air around her seems to shimmer with an otherworldly energy, as if the crystal is drawing power from her very being. I tighten my grip on my crossbow, my heart pounding in my chest as I scan the shadows for any sign of movement. Varrika's face is etched with concern as she supports Serrine's weight against her, her knuckles white with tension. "Serrine," she says, her voice strained with urgency, "are you alright? Can you walk?"
Serrine nods weakly, her eyes glazed and unfocused. "I think so," she whispers, her voice hoarse with exhaustion. "But Varrika... that crystal... it's not right. I can feel its power growing stronger by the second."
I feel a wave of fear wash over me as I look at the runes on the walls, the pulsing light blinding in its intensity. The air seems to vibrate with magical energy, making it difficult for me to focus. Suddenly, a faint whisper echoes through the passageway, "You will never leave this place...". The low chuckle from the shadows grows louder, and the runes pulse with an otherworldly power. I feel my stomach churn as I realize just how dangerous this place is. Whatever this test is, whatever we have to face... it's not going to be easy. But we've faced worse dangers before, and I'm not about to let some shadow-creature pick us off one by one. "Stay close," I whisper to Varrika and Serrine, my voice low and urgent. "And keep your wits about you. We don't know what we're up against here, but whatever it is... we'll face it together."
I take a deep breath, steeling myself for what's to come. The path ahead is uncertain, but one thing is clear: we can't afford to let our guard down, not even for a second. This place... it's not right. And whatever that crystal is, whatever power it holds... we need to be careful. Let's move out. Stay sharp and watch each other's backs. And whatever happens, we get Serrine out of here alive. That's a promise.
I feel a surge of determination as I support Serrine's weight against me, my muscles tense and ready for action. The crystal at the bottom of the pit pulses with an otherworldly light, its power growing stronger by the second. Merrin readies her crossbow, her face set in a grim determination as she scans the shadows for any sign of movement. I can hear the fear in Serrine's voice as she whispers that single word: "Father..." But even in the face of this unknown danger, I know that we have to keep moving forward. This place... it's not right. The air seems to vibrate with magical energy, making it difficult for me to focus. The runes on the walls pulse faster and faster, their light blinding in its intensity. But whatever this test is, whatever we have to face... we'll face it together. As warriors should. "Stay sharp," I whisper to Merrin and Serrine, my voice low and urgent. "And watch each other's backs. Whatever happens... we get Serrine out of this place alive. That's a promise."
