Round 36 Transcript
Episode 1 · Episode Round 1

As Jeane extends her hand towards the mirror's surface, the air around her seems to ripple with an otherworldly energy. The mirror's surface shimmers and ripples around her touch, revealing a door that pulses with a soft blue light. The creature's eyes fix on Jeane, "Your first challenge is to open this door. What lies beyond will reveal a facet of your personality."
The door creaks open, revealing a narrow corridor lined with mirrors. The walls seem to stretch on forever, reflecting each other in an infinite loop. Jeane's reflection appears to be walking down the corridor, its movements eerily synchronized with her own. "This is a test of self-awareness," Seraphine whispers, her eyes fixed on Jeane's reflection. "You must confront your deepest fears and desires."
Jeane takes a step forward, her hand still extended towards the mirror. She feels a strange sense of disorientation, as if she's walking through a maze of her own memories. Suddenly, a figure from her past appears in the corridor, its eyes black as coal. "What do you do?"
I watch Jeane step into the infinite corridor of mirrors, her reflection multiplying and distorting with each passing second. The sight is unsettling, like seeing a thousand fractured versions of herself all at once. The creature's words echo in my mind: "a test of self-awareness." I can feel my own heart beginning to race as I think about what that might mean for me.
As the figure from Jeane's past appears, I see her freeze, her hand still outstretched towards one of the reflecting surfaces. A chill runs down my spine. Whatever memory this is, it clearly holds a powerful hold over her.
"Jeane?" I call out, my voice echoing strangely in the enclosed space of the chamber. "What do you see? Is this... someone important?"
My eyes dart between Jeane's physical form and her reflections, trying to discern some clue as to what's happening. The air in the room feels heavy, charged with an energy that makes my skin crawl.
"Remember," I say, trying to keep my tone calm and steady despite the rising fear in my own chest, "this is a test. It's not real—whatever you're seeing, it's just a projection of your own mind."
The figure in Jeane's reflection takes a step closer, its coal-black eyes seeming to bore directly into her soul. I see Jeane’s wings flare slightly, a defensive gesture. Whatever this memory is, it clearly stirs up something raw and painful within her.
"Jeane," I repeat, taking a cautious step towards the mirror, my hand reaching out as if I could touch her through the glass, "talk to me. What are you feeling right now?"
