Amidst the desolate landscape of Gravehill, a lone figure emerged from the shadows, her lithe form silhouetted against the stormy sky. Silra moved with calculated stealth, her silver-blonde hair whipping about her face as she navigated the cracked threshold of the abandoned church. The air was heavy with tension, but her cool self-possessed posture belied the unease that had been building within her since Gravedigger Renn's cryptic warning.

As she approached the altar, a faint glint caught her eye - a hidden compartment behind the stone slab, revealed by her deft fingers. A rusted key and faded parchment marked with the church's sigil lay within, granting partial access to the nave's inner sanctum. The discovery was met with a mixture of curiosity and trepidation, as the clang of the bell had already drawn the city guard's attention to the entrance.

Jeane, Sorcerer, stood watch beside Silra, her crimson eyes narrowed against the stormy sky. Her voice took on that subtle, commanding tone as she intoned: "You will lower your weapons now. We mean no harm to you or this place." The lead guard at the entrance—a gaunt man with a face lined by ash and grief—became her target, his gaze locked onto hers as he hesitated.

Sister Hale stepped forward from beside Silra, her voice measured and calm despite the tension in her shoulders. "We are here on official church business." The words sounded hollow in the dusty air as she saw two guardsmen in tarnished armor emerge from the ash at the entrance, their weapons lowered but ready. A third figure, hooded and stooped, lingered behind them.

Gravedigger Renn clutched a rusted key, his eyes darting toward the guardsmen with a mixture of fear and wariness. His gaze met Silra's, and for an instant, she glimpsed the depth of his unease - a sense of foreboding that seemed to reverberate beneath the surface. The air was thick with unresolved tensions, as the party stood poised on the threshold of the church, ready to face whatever lay ahead.
