Round 1

[Narrator | Narrator]
The Narrator lets the room settle and lays out the immediate proposition in concrete terms, making clear that the cast must answer what is being asked of them before anything can move forward.

[Jeane | Sorcerer]
I consider the offer with a cold calculation. This is no simple reconstruction of stone and wood; it's a power play disguised as piety. Gravehill needs a new god, and I intend to supply one—with my own particular... doctrine. But tell me: who guarantees our safety from the city watch? And more importantly, what does this 'something moving beneath the streets' actually mean? Because if we're being sent into a tomb with no plan, then I'm not signing up to be meat for whatever crawls out.

[Silra | Rogue]
I study the rusted key in my palm. So we're to rebuild a church and turn it into a brothel with scripture citations? How delightfully pragmatic. My tone is dry. Renn here is clearly terrified of something specific—the city guard or whatever's under the streets, I don't care which—and now you want us to walk into that mess while peddling sin as salvation? I pocket the key and lean back.

[Sister Hale | Cleric]
I look at each of them in turn, trying to reconcile this mission with my vows. I understand that Gravehill is desperate and its people are suffering. But establishing a house of worship only to... pervert it into something profane? That's blasphemy, no matter how you dress it up as 'pragmatism.' I fix my gaze on Jeane. You speak of doctrine—what exactly do you mean by that? Because if we're to preach at all, let it be true teachings, not excuses for depravity.
