As the three women stepped into the left tunnel branch, the air thickened with tension and the ground trembled beneath their feet once more, its three-pulse rhythm echoing through the curved walls like a deliberate drumbeat. The bioluminescent light pulsed faster now, casting eerie shadows that seemed to writhe and twist as they passed, their presence drawing the attention of whatever lurked in the depths below. Gravedigger Renn's fearful eyes watched from the shadows, his plea for guidance hanging in the air like a challenge.

Silra tracked the rhythm with practiced ease, her teal eyes narrowed against the pulsing light as she moved forward, her silver-blonde hair catching the faint glow. "Consistent, deliberate," she murmured to herself, her hand drifting away from the hilt of her dagger as she pondered the seismic communication. The fork in the tunnel branch mattered tactically, but she was not convinced that pushing forward united them would be wise.

Sister Hale followed closely behind, her practical habit worn and her silver holy symbol at her breast a reassuring presence against the taints that seemed to permeate this place. "This isn't random seismic activity," she said, her voice steady as she realized the deliberate nature of the three-pulse rhythm beneath their feet. "Someone intelligent is communicating through the ground."

Jeane led the way further down the tunnel branch, her crimson eyes scanning every inch of the pulsing walls with an intensity that bordered on desperation. The bioluminescent light pulsed faster now, almost breathing in time with their movement, as if it too were alive and watching them. Whatever was down here was definitely tracking them through multiple senses: ground vibrations, light pulses, and perhaps even the scent of their presence.
