As the storm raged on, Sister Hale's eyes flashed with determination, her gaze fixed intently on the massive chitinous limb that burst forth from the darkness. The creature's unblinking stare seemed to bore into her very soul, but she stood firm, her hand grasping the unholy symbol at her chest. Gravedigger Renn trembled beside her, his voice barely audible over the din of the tempest: "It's them... they've found us." The limb's massive body propelled itself with a speed that belied its size, sending shockwaves through the ground beneath their feet. Sister Hale's stance shifted, her hand instinctively reaching for the 50 feet of rope coiled at her back.
The air was heavy with tension as the creature drew closer, its raspy voice whispering an ominous warning: "You should have listened..." The words hung in the air like a death sentence, and Gravedigger Renn's fear seemed to spread like wildfire through his body. Sister Hale's grip on the rope tightened, her jaw set in determination. She knew they couldn't outrun the creature, not now that it had found them. The only option was to face it head-on, and protect their fragile party from whatever horrors lurked beneath Gravehill's ruined streets.
