As the guards closed in, trapping the party between them and the tunnel entrance, Sister Hale was pulled back toward Gravedigger Renn despite being dragged by an unknown force. The massive chitinous limb emerged from darkness, scrabbling against stone near Jeane's face, sending her stumbling backward as she desperately tried to shield herself.
