Round 8

Silra moved with practiced grace through the shadowed antechamber, guiding Julia away from the main chamber where evidence of their activities remained far too apparent. The elf's teal eyes gleamed with barely contained anxiety as she positioned herself between the curious woman and the doorway leading back. "You understand how important ritual timing is for these... ceremonies," she explained softly, her voice carrying just enough authority to sound convincing while still maintaining an alluring edge. "Patience is part of the process—rushing things can disrupt the entire flow." She gestured toward a small bench against one wall.* "Make yourself comfortable here while we finish preparing. I'll come get you when everything's ready."
Jeane watched the exchange with coldly analytical eyes, noting every micro-expression crossing Julia's face as she considered Silra's words. This was exactly the kind of uncontrolled variable he'd warned against—an outsider wandering into their active operation with no context or understanding, yet clearly possessive curiosity burning bright in her gaze. Halie remained frozen near the altar, her eyes wide and unfocused as panic overwhelmed rational thought. Useless.
He turned his attention back to Hera, still naked and trembling behind him—at least she had the sense to stay quiet even if she was useless for anything productive right now. The clock continued ticking down toward increasingly difficult decisions about their next moves.*
