Jeane

Jeane · Sorcerer

Jeane steps down from the altar platform, her movements fluid despite the weight of exhaustion she feels in her bones. Sisters, she repeats, her voice a low purr that seems to caress the stone walls, tonight is not just about welcoming new blood into our fold. It's about fortifying what we have—her eyes flicker to Halie and Silra—and ensuring that nothing, absolutely nothing, threatens what we've built. Halie moves toward Hera and Abby, her robes whispering against the floor. We're all tired, Jeane continues, addressing the whole circle but particularly fixated on the two newcomers, but rest can come later. Right now, I need to know—she circles them slowly, her wings twitching with barely contained energy—that you understand the gravity of what it means to stand beside us. A beat of silence hangs heavy in the air. The path we walk is not for the faint of heart. It demands loyalty above all else, secrecy that borders on obsession, and a hunger for power that some might call… unnatural. Her eyes gleam with something ancient and hungry as she looks between Hera and Abby. So tell me, truly—are you prepared to give yourselves wholly to this sisterhood? To submit to rituals that would make decent folk clutch their rosaries in terror? Jeane extends a hand toward them, her fingers tipped with wickedly pointed nails. Because if you are, then let us begin the initiation tonight. If not… her smile turns cold and sharp as a razor’s edge, well, we'll simply have to find another use for you both. The air in the church grows suddenly thick with tension, crackling with unspoken possibilities. Jeane's eyes gleam with challenge and promise in equal measure, waiting to see if these two will step forward or shrink away.

Halie

Halie · Cleric

Halie moves toward Hera and Abby as Jeane begins her address, my eyes taking in both their expressions with a cleric's practiced empathy. The weight of our collective exhaustion presses down on me, yet the sight of these young women standing at the threshold of something profound fuels my determination anew. Hera, Abby…

I reach out to take each woman's hand in mine, squeezing gently. I know this is overwhelming—it was for all of us when we first stood where you are now. But remember, every sister here has chosen this path because they believe it offers something the world outside cannot. Halie turns her gaze to Silra, who stands nearby with that unreadable elven expression. And yes, there will be challenges, expectations even. But also joy beyond measure, connections deeper than you knew existed.

Hera

Hera · Civilian

As Jeane's words resonate through the ancient chamber, I feel a surge of excitement mingled with apprehension. The weight of this moment is immense - we're on the cusp of something extraordinary, something that could change the very fabric of our lives. I glance at Abby, her eyes shining with the same heady blend of trepidation and anticipation. In the dim light, I can see the flush of pink on her cheeks, mirroring my own rising warmth. We're really doing this, I think to myself, a mix of awe and nervousness flooding through me. The reality of it all settles in my bones as Jeane's eyes meet mine, a spark igniting between us that feels both electric and terrifyingly real. Stepping forward, I feel the rough stone beneath my feet, grounding me in this moment. "I'm ready," I declare, my voice steady despite the butterflies in my stomach. "To join you, to become a sister in truth." The words hang in the air, a promise and a challenge all at once. I reach out, my hand finding Abby's, a silent gesture of solidarity as we stand on the threshold of this new life together. Whatever comes next, whatever rituals or trials await us, I know one thing for certain - with Abby by my side, and these powerful women leading the way, there's no limit to what we might achieve. My heart pounds in my chest as Jeane approaches, her eyes dark with intent. I can feel the energy in the room shifting, the weight of expectation pressing down on us all. But as I lock eyes with Jeane, a surge of confidence courses through me. Whatever challenges lie ahead, whatever pleasures or pains may come, I'm ready to face them head-on. This is it, I think to myself, taking a deep breath as Jeane draws near. The moment everything changes. And as her hand reaches out to touch my face, I lean into it, ready to embrace whatever the future holds.
