Hera moved forward, her posture radiating tension as she positioned herself between Jeane and Silra's workbench. The civilized veneer of her convenience store uniform did little to mask the barely contained anxiety in her amber eyes or the way her hands clenched into fists at her sides.

"Jeane, stop this right now," Hera said, her voice firm despite the slight tremor that betrayed her unease. "We're all on edge, but there's no need for threats." She turned to Silra, her expression softening only marginally. "Silra, please focus on the repairs. We'll figure out the rest later."

To Abby, she spoke more quietly, though her words carried a reassuring tone despite the gravity of their situation. "Stay calm. I won't let Jeane hurt anyone." Then, raising her voice again to address the entire group, Hera continued, "Everyone, just breathe. We have a situation here, but panicking will only make it worse."

The ambient energy in the room seemed to pulse with the building's demands, each psychic caress sending fresh waves of unwanted arousal through those present. Hera gritted her teeth, fighting against the sensation as she tried to maintain control. The clock was ticking—twenty minutes left before whatever Silra was doing supposedly failed.

This wasn't how she'd imagined their adventure in New York would go. She'd signed up for excitement, sure, but not this kind of forced intimacy mixed with existential dread about structural failure. Her eyes darted between the focused elf and the seething succubus, wondering which was the greater immediate threat.

The penthouse suite felt smaller by the minute, the air thick with tension and the building's insatiable hunger. Hera knew she needed to do something—anything—but what? Reasoning with Jeane seemed unlikely to work when the demoness was this far gone. Distracting Silra would only make an already dangerous situation worse. And trying to satisfy the building's demands herself... well, that felt like admitting defeat in the most humiliating way possible.

So she stood there, caught between duty and disgust, as the seconds ticked away toward disaster.
