Jeane leaned against the wall, her wings folding tight against her back as she watched Silra work with the welder. The heat from the arc had nothing on the fire burning inside her—weeks of pent-up lust and frustration ready to explode at the slightest provocation.

"You're wasting time," she growled, her voice barely human. "We both know what this building wants. Stop pretending you don't feel it." Her crimson eyes never left Silra's face, tracking every flicker of expression as the elf worked methodically with the equipment. Halie had positioned herself between them, a futile gesture Jeane dismissed entirely. The human woman meant well, but she was utterly useless when it came to handling someone like her.

Silra straightened up slowly, turning to face Jeane with an expression that managed to be both exasperated and mildly concerned. "I'm not pretending anything," she said evenly. "But forcing the issue won't make this job go any faster." She set down the welder carefully before continuing. "You're making this harder than it needs to be—both for me and yourself."

Jeane's hands clenched into fists at her sides, the only outward sign of how close she was to losing control completely. The building's groans had become a constant background noise by now, each rumble sending fresh waves of arousal through her body. She could feel the pheromones leaking from every pore, thick and sweet enough to choke on.

"I don't care about 'harder than necessary,'" she snarled, pushing off the wall with deliberate slowness. "I care about results." Her wings unfurled slightly as she advanced, not quite a threat but definitely a warning. "And if you think I'm bluffing about what happens when you finish... well, let's just say you don't want to find out."

Silra held her ground, though her jaw tightened almost imperceptibly. "I understand your frustration," she said, voice low and controlled. "But this isn't something we can rush without consequences." She gestured toward the reinforced section with one hand while keeping the other loose at her side—a posture that screamed 'I'm not looking for a fight but I won't back down either.' "Another ten minutes of steady work and we're done here. Is that really too much to ask?"

Jeane's laugh was sharp and bitter, echoing through the room with an edge that made Halie flinch despite herself. "Oh yes," she purred, the words dripping with venom. "Ten more minutes is absolutely fucking unbearable when every cell in my body is screaming for release." She took another step forward, close enough now that Silra could probably taste the pheromones on the air between them. "But fine—you want ten minutes? You've got it. Clock's ticking."

Silra didn't flinch or retreat despite the obvious tension radiating off Jeane in waves. Instead, she simply nodded once—a small gesture of acknowledgment—and turned back to her work without another word. The welder came back to life with a loud hiss, arc of blue light cutting through the thick air between them as she began working on the final section.

Jeane watched for a moment longer before stalking over to one of the nearby chairs and throwing herself into it with enough force to make the frame groan in protest. Her wings tucked in tight against her back again, hands gripping the armrests hard enough that her knuckles turned white.

"Fine," she hissed under her breath, though it was loud enough for everyone in the room to hear clearly. "But know this—if you waste even a single second more than necessary, I won't care about consequences anymore." The promise hung heavy in the air between threat and plea, both equally present in her voice.

Halie shifted uncomfortably beside Silra, torn between concern for her friend and genuine fear of what might happen if Jeane's patience finally snapped completely. She opened her mouth as if to say something, then closed it again without speaking—what could she possibly add that wouldn't make things worse?

Silra continued working in silence, the welder's arc cutting through metal with methodical efficiency. Every few seconds another groan rumbled up from deep within the building's structure, each one sending fresh waves of arousal through Jeane's already overstimulated system. But she forced herself to sit still, counting off seconds in her head and willing the clock to move faster.

The air in the room grew thicker by the moment, charged with sexual tension and barely-contained need until it seemed like the very walls might start sweating. And throughout it all, Silra kept working—steady, focused, completely unruffled despite the literal monster glaring holes into her back.

Jeane knew she was being unreasonable, knew that her demands were unfair and potentially dangerous. But in that moment, with weeks of denied pleasure screaming through every nerve ending, she simply didn't care. The clock was ticking—two minutes down, eight to go—and she would make damn sure those remaining minutes weren't wasted.

The welder's arc finally died away as Silra finished the last section, stepping back to survey her work with a satisfied nod. "Done," she announced, voice barely louder than normal conversation but carrying clearly through the charged silence of the room. Jeane was on her feet before the word had fully left her mouth, wings spreading wide behind her as a feral grin stretched across her face.

"Finally," she growled, already moving forward with predatory grace. "Now we can get this party started properly."
