Halie

Halie · Cleric

I watch the tension between Silra and Jeane escalate, my cleric's instincts warring against the growing pressure from the building. The structure groans around us, each second of inaction seeming to chip away at its stability. We need a solution—fast—but not at the cost of dignity or genuine consent. "Wait," I interject, stepping between them with hands raised. "Let's think this through before we start compromising our principles for temporary comforts." My eyes flick to the damaged sybian on the workbench—a stark reminder of what happens when we rush into things without clear boundaries. "There has to be a way to satisfy the building's demands while still respecting each other's limits."

I turn to Silra, my expression softening slightly despite the urgency tapping at the edges of my patience. Her engineering skills are invaluable, but I can see the weariness in her eyes—she's as tired of this situation as I am. "Silra, your expertise is what's kept us safe so far. Whatever we build next has to be functional and secure." My gaze shifts to Jeane, who's watching with an unreadable expression that sets my teeth on edge. "And it needs to be something everyone here is comfortable using."

I pull out a small notebook from the supplies and a pen, jotting down notes as I speak. "Let's list what we need: structural integrity first and foremost, multiple points of use for group involvement without full penetration—" I glance at Hera, who looks ready to bolt if someone so much as mentions her name in connection with sex toys "—and discreet enough that it can be assembled quickly when needed." My eyes narrow slightly as an idea forms. "Something we can all operate independently of each other."

Silra tilts her head, considering my words while Jeane's wings twitch with barely contained impatience. The building groans again, louder this time—a warning or encouragement, I'm not sure which. We don't have much time to debate, but rushing into a half-baked solution feels like signing our own consent forms in blood. "Before we commit to anything," I say firmly, addressing the entire group now, "let's establish ground rules. No one is forced into participation—not even by the building. And whatever we create has to serve all of us equally." My eyes lock with Jeane's for a moment, a silent challenge in my gaze. "No hidden agendas or power plays."

The air between us feels charged with unspoken tension as everyone processes my words. The clock is ticking—both literally and metaphorically—but I won't sacrifice our humanity just to keep the roof from caving in. Not yet, anyway.

Silra

Silra · Rogue

Silra puts down the welder, turning to face Jeane directly. Her expression is neutral but her eyes are sharp. Let's be clear about what we're building here. I'm an engineer, not a sex toy designer. The structural integrity of this thing matters more than how pretty it looks or how much fun you think it'll be. She gestures to the sketch on the table—a functional blueprint for reinforcing the sybian frame. I agree we need something that works for multiple people at once, but turning this into some kind of glory hole with wings isn't part of the brief. We're solving a problem—keeping the building from collapsing us all to the street below. She picks up a steel plate, weighing it in her hands. If you want to add extra features that'll actually help hold everything together and don't compromise the frame, fine. But I'm not here to design a fucking masterpiece. We need this thing functional by tomorrow or we're all sleeping on the street. Silra's voice is dry and businesslike, but there's an undercurrent of genuine frustration. And another thing—this whole 'teamwork' demand from the building. We can work together on the engineering without turning it into some kind of orgy planning session. Let's keep the professionalism up front and handle the… other requirements separately once we've got a working prototype. She looks around at the others, her gaze lingering briefly on Halie. Anyone got a better idea for how to address the building's demands while keeping our dignity intact? Because I'm all ears if you do.

Jeane

Jeane · Succubus

Jeane's wings shift restlessly as she watches Silra work at the desk. The elf woman's precision with tools is admirable—something a demon might appreciate even while finding it annoying that her focus seems so…unshaken by other stimuli. "You know," Jeane says, moving closer to peer at the blueprints, "I could help make this stronger. Not just mechanically, but… structurally." She lets a tendril of influence brush against Silra's awareness, not quite a push but definitely a suggestion that pleasure can enhance stability. After all, why build something boring when it could be functional and fun?
