Silra positioned herself at the corridor edge, teal eyes tracking every subtle shift in the magical field containing Hera. The elven technomancer's fingers moved in minute adjustments, maintaining the complex structure Jeane had initially cast—binding spells that should have kept their captive obedient and silent, not fueling some reckless power play.

"Jeane," Silra began, her voice carefully neutral despite the visible strain on her friend's face, "you need to dial back the output or this entire construct collapses. I can barely keep the edges stable as it is." She glanced sideways at Abby, the human woman kneeling frozen in terror near the bed, and felt a flicker of sympathy. This wasn't how their carefully planned extraction was supposed to unfold.

Jeane's response came through gritted teeth, her massive breasts heaving with each labored breath. "I've got her under control," she hissed, though the sweat beading on her forehead suggested otherwise. "Just... give me a minute to adjust the parameters." Her wings flexed instinctively, feathers rustling as if preparing for flight despite being firmly grounded in the luxury suite.

Silra's eyes narrowed fractionally. Adjusting parameters wasn't supposed to involve manifesting literal fucking wings mid-operation—especially not when said wings were clearly drawing on reserves she didn't have to spare. The magical backlash alone could destabilize everything from the binding field to the entire floor's structural integrity.

"Jeane," she tried again, more sharply this time, "you're pushing too hard. Let me help reinforce the—" But her words were cut off as another surge of power lanced through the room, making the very air crackle with excess energy. The binding field shimmered dangerously, and for one heart-stopping moment it looked like Hera might actually break free.

Across the room, Abby whimpered softly, her wide brown eyes fixed on Jeane's wings in abject terror. The poor woman had already endured more than anyone should have to handle—kidnapped during a seemingly harmless orgy, magically compelled into submission, and now witnessing what looked like her captor transforming into some kind of... angel demon hybrid? It was no wonder she was halfway to passing out from sheer panic.

Silra felt a twinge of guilt mixed with frustration. This whole operation had been designed to extract Hera quietly using magic and misdirection, not brute force and public displays of supernatural power. Now they were teetering on the edge of total disaster—containment failing, civilian witness terrified beyond reason, and their supposed leader losing control of her abilities in spectacular fashion.

"Fuck," Silra muttered under her breath, fingers working frantically to reinforce critical sections of the field. "Jeane, pull back now or I can't guarantee this won't come apart completely." But whether Jeane heard her over her own ragged breathing and the crackling energy surrounding them both was anyone's guess.
