Jeane’s voice softened, her crimson eyes fixed on Abby despite Silra positioning herself between them. “Darling,” she began, each word measured and deliberate, “those wings are simply... an unusual feature of my anatomy. No more dangerous than your own lovely ears.” She gestured with a graceful wave towards Silra’s pointed elven features. “As for protecting you—” Jeane paused, her expression shifting to something between amusement and exasperation. “Silra, I assure you, the only threat here is Hera’s temper if we don’t get this situation sorted.”
Silra’s teal eyes remained cold as she studied Jeane, her hand still resting casually near the small of her back where her blade usually resided. The penthouse suite felt suddenly smaller, tension crackling between them like static before a storm. “Sorted how?” Silra demanded, her voice tight. “By you seducing another innocent into your little game?”
Jeane’s laugh was light, almost musical, but there was an edge to it that hadn’t been present earlier in the evening. “Oh, Silra,” she purred, “always so dramatic. This isn’t a game—it’s an adventure. And Abby here is more than capable of making her own choices.” She took a small step forward, her wings half-spread in a gesture that seemed both threatening and enticing. “Besides, I thought you were enjoying yourself before the interruption. Or has my little rogue forgotten how good it felt to have Halie’s hands on her?”
Silra’s cheeks flushed despite herself, a flicker of something—embarrassment? arousal?—passing across her features before she schooled them back into neutral professionalism. “That’s neither here nor there,” she snapped, though her voice lacked the earlier conviction. “The question remains: what exactly are you planning for Abby?”
Jeane’s smile widened, predatory and inviting all at once. “Planning? My dear Silra, I’m an entertainer, not a schemer. All I plan is to show our new friend here the wonders of pleasure she’s been missing out on.” She glanced meaningfully at Hera standing protectively beside Abby. “Though perhaps we should focus on calming Hera’s nerves first? After all, a good host always takes care of her guests.”
The room seemed to hold its breath as the standoff continued, each woman locked in her own internal struggle—Jeane calculating her next move, Silra weighing the risks, and both Hera and Abby caught between fascination and fear. The air was thick with the scent of sex and expensive perfume, a testament to the night’s earlier activities that now felt like a distant memory compared to the tension crackling between them.
“Fine,” Silra ground out after a long moment, her hand finally moving away from where her blade should have been. “But one wrong move, Jeane, and I don’t care if you have wings or not—you’ll regret it.” It was as close to a concession as she could manage, her teal eyes still wary but slightly less hostile than before.
Jeane’s smile softened ever so slightly, though the calculating gleam remained in her crimson gaze. “Understood, my dear,” she murmured, her voice like velvet. “Now, why don’t we all have a seat and discuss this like civilized beings? I’m sure Abby has some questions, and Hera looks like she could use a drink.”
As the others began to move towards the seating area, Jeane allowed herself a small sigh of relief. The immediate crisis had passed, but the night was far from over—and she knew better than most that the path of seduction was rarely smooth or straightforward. Still, she thought as she followed the group, settling onto one of the plush couches with an effortless grace that spoke of centuries of practice, every setback is simply an opportunity for greater creativity. And Silra, bless her suspicious little heart, would make such a delightful challenge once this particular obstacle was cleared away...
