Silra's teal eyes remained fixed on the succubus as she spoke in a low tone meant only for Hera's ears. "Easy now. We don't need to start a war here." Her free hand moved fractionally, a subtle gesture meant to calm without appearing submissive. The movement drew attention away from her concealed blade, though her fingers remained close enough to grasp it in an instant if needed.

Jeane's amber eyes gleamed with amusement as she observed the tense standoff. The succubus's lips curved into something that might be a smile or a predatory grin, and she took another small step back, raising her hands in a placating gesture that somehow managed to emphasize the curves of her body rather than soothe.

"Oh darling," Jeane purred, addressing Hera directly now. "There's no need for such hostility. I assure you, Abby is... simply overwhelmed by all this." Her gaze flickered briefly to Silra before returning to Hera. "Why don't we all take a moment to... adjust to the atmosphere? The night is young, and there's plenty of fun to be had."

Silra's expression remained unreadable as she watched the exchange unfold. She shifted her weight slightly, the movement bringing her closer to the edge of the conversation circle while maintaining a clear line of sight between Hera and Jeane.

"Abby," Silra called out softly but firmly. "Remember what we discussed earlier. Trust your instincts." Her eyes never left Jeane as she spoke, a silent reminder that vigilance was key in this unfamiliar environment.

The succubus's smile widened fractionally at Silra's words, though something unreadable flickered across her features for just an instant before settling back into her usual mask of seductive calm. She took another small step back, her movements fluid and deliberate.

"Of course," Jeane replied smoothly. "Abby knows exactly what she wants... eventually." The ambiguity in her words hung heavy in the air as she turned gracefully away, sauntering towards a group of other partygoers who were engaged in a more conventional conversation.

Silra let out a slow breath once Jeane was no longer directly facing them. She moved closer to Hera and Abby, her voice low enough for their ears alone. "We need to talk strategy. This setup feels... wrong. Too many variables we didn't account for."

Hera's jaw remained set as she nodded curtly in response. Her eyes stayed fixed on Jeane's retreating form, even as she positioned herself more firmly between Abby and the succubus.

"Agreed," Hera muttered. "But first things first—we need to get Abby somewhere safe where we can all talk without... distractions." She glanced around the room, her gaze lingering briefly on a secluded balcony overlooking Central Park. "That spot over there looks clear. We can use it."

Silra's eyes followed Hera's line of sight, and she nodded slowly. "Good call. Let's move quickly before anything else... unexpected happens." Her hand moved again, this time in a subtle gesture towards the balcony doors—a silent signal for Abby to follow them.

The elf's teal eyes remained sharp as they navigated through the crowded room, ever vigilant against potential threats hidden among the revelry. As they approached the balcony, the sounds of the party seemed to fade slightly, replaced by the gentle rustle of leaves in the night breeze and the distant hum of New York City below.

Once outside, Hera moved immediately to stand between Abby and the door, her body language protective even as she kept half an eye on the room beyond. Silra positioned herself near the balcony railing, her back to the city lights as she scanned the interior for any sign of movement or interest in their departure.

"Okay," Silra said quietly, her voice barely above the wind. "Talk fast, both of you. What's our play here? We can't stay in there much longer without drawing attention we don't want."
