I move between Silra and the doll demon on Abby's breast, my hand raised in benediction. "Silra," I say firmly, eyes fixed on the creature, "whatever it offers you, whatever it promises—demons trade in broken contracts and hidden costs. Trust in what you know." To Hera: "Stand with me here, shield Silra from its reach." My gaze shifts to Jeane, voice sharp but measured: "This changes nothing between us. We'll discuss terms if necessary, on our terms."

Silra's eyes narrow as she watches the doll demon's movements on Abby. The creature's sugary voice grates on her nerves, but what really bothers her is how it's manipulating emotions—likely through pheromones or some other demonic trickery. She steps closer to Halie and Hera, creating a small shield wall against the creatures targeting Abby. "Abby, snap out of it," Silra calls sharply over Halie's shoulder. "It's playing you like a lute string. Don't listen to its promises—demons only give what they have to." She turns her head toward Jeane, eyes calculating. "Now tell me more about this binding, succubus. Because if we're dealing with one demon in the room, I'd rather negotiate with the one who at least admits to being a predator."

Her tone is coldly businesslike—no seduction, no charm, just the hard edge of someone used to trading favors in dark alleys and shadowy deals. "And make it specific this time. How long does it last? What exactly do I get for my end of the bargain? And most importantly, what are the fucking loopholes you've already thought up?"
