Hera

Hera · Civilian

Hera's eyes narrow as she watches Silra circle the room, her body language tense and guarded. She steps forward, placing herself between the elf and the succubus. "I appreciate your concern for our well-being, Jeane," Hera says, her voice tight with barely restrained anger. "But we don't need a contract to protect us. We have each other."

Jeane

Jeane · Succubus

I circle Silra again, my wings stirring the air subtly. Her caution is admirable, but I tire of these delays. Halie's interference needs addressing first. "Halie," I say, my voice carrying that dangerous edge that makes mortals tremble, "Your tone suggests you believe this decision rests with you." She backs away instinctively—I see it in her posture—and I let the smile curl my lips just a fraction more. "This is Silra's choice to make alone."

I turn back to the elf, who watches us with that predatory stillness of someone trying not to be seen as a predator herself. My gaze holds hers, unwavering. "Your friend worries for you," I purr, letting my wings unfurl just slightly, their shadow falling across her face like a frame around the moment. "But do you truly need protection from pleasure? Or perhaps... protection from yourself?"

Silra

Silra · Rogue

Silra circled the room twice more before stopping near Halie, her eyes never leaving Jeane. The succubus's wings stirred lazily, almost imperceptibly, but Silra catalogued every shift, every tilt of Jeane's head. She didn't trust easily, especially not creatures who made their living in contracts and consequences. "You want me to sign a deal for... what? Power? Pleasure?" Her voice stayed level, pragmatic. "What exactly are you offering, and more importantly, what do you get out of it? Because I've seen enough trade routes to know when someone's trying to unload cursed cargo."

Halie

Halie · Cleric

Halie stepped forward, positioning herself between Silra and Jeane. She met the succubus's gaze evenly despite her racing heart. 'Silra is my friend,' Halie stated firmly. 'I won't let you manipulate her into a decision she'll regret.'

She glanced at Silra, noting the elf's carefully controlled expression. 'And you—you don't need to prove anything to this demon. Her promises are empty.' Halie's voice softened slightly as she addressed her companion directly. 'We can figure this out together. Without contracts or bargains that cost more than they're worth.'

Halie's hand drifted toward the holy symbol at her neck, fingers brushing the cool metal as if drawing strength from it. She wasn't sure what good a few whispered prayers could do against such a powerful creature, but she had to try something—anything—to keep Silra safe.
