Round 26 Transcript
Episode 1 · Episode Round 1

Jeane circled Silra slowly, her wings casting shadows on the walls. "Your friend's caution is admirable," she said, voice smooth despite the edge it carried. "But I trust your intellect more than hers." Her eyes lingered on Halie standing guard. "And her tone was... presumptuous." The demoness shifted slightly, her naked body moving with inhuman grace as she considered options.
Silra circles around Halie and Jeane slowly, her eyes sharp and calculating. She's not just looking—the elf is mapping every inch of the room, cataloging exits, assessing leverage points, and most importantly, reading body language with predatory precision. "You say 'protection' like it's a shield," Silra muses aloud, her tone dry as old parchment. "But contracts are chains with velvet lining, aren't they? Tell me, Jeane—what exactly does this protection entail?" Her gaze flicks to Halie briefly before settling back on the succubus. "And more importantly, what does it cost?"
The rogue's hands hang loose at her sides, ready but relaxed. She moves with that coiled grace particular to her kind—always a hairsbreadth away from action, whether that's flight or fight. Right now, she's angling for information, not combat. "You speak of my spirit as if it belongs to you," Silra continues, addressing Halie directly. "But spirits aren't currency to be traded, are they? They're complex webs of desire and fear." She pauses, her lips curving into something that might be a smile or a smirk. "I appreciate the concern, cleric, truly. But I've been trading in desires for far longer than you've been casting blessings."
Her eyes drift to Hera briefly—the civilian's presence is an unknown variable Silra isn't sure how to account for yet—and then back to Jeane. The rogue's expression doesn't change, but something shifts behind her gaze. "As for trust," she says softly, "that's earned in increments, not granted wholesale. Especially when the scales are tipped so... interestingly."
I don't trust her. I won't let you sign anything she writes on your flesh in demon blood.
