The creature's hum grows sharper, more insistent, its twin orbs pulsing in rhythm with the swirling gateway. Jeane whirls to face them both, her wings spreading wide despite the obvious agony of the motion. What in all the hells are you doing?! She snarls, her crimson eyes blazing with barely-contained fury. You're just inviting whatever that thing is right into our midst!
