The screen flickered back to life, its sudden illumination stark against the surrounding darkness. The feed displayed a series of images in rapid succession—captures from earlier moments of their vulnerability, each one more compromising than the last. Hera’s voice emerged from unseen speakers, smooth and oily with barely concealed glee. “Ah, excellent. Now that we have your... cooperation, let's take a look at what you're really doing here.” The demon gestured to Silra, who continued working on her device despite the blatant invasion of privacy.

Jeane’s eyes narrowed, her crimson gaze fixed on the screen as if trying to see through it directly. “A password test? How... pedestrian,” she hissed, stepping closer to Silra. Her voice dropped to a dangerous purr, barely above a whisper so only Silra could hear. “You're sure you can handle this? Because I have other ideas about what we should be doing to whoever's behind that screen—ideas involving fire and brimstone rather than hacking.”

Silra’s fingers paused mid-tap on her interface, a smirk tugging at one corner of her mouth as she processed both the screen's demand and Jeane's whispered suggestions. “Creativity? Now there's an understatement,” she replied, meeting Jeane’s crimson gaze with cool amusement in her teal eyes. “You want confusion and mistrust—fine. I can work with that. But let's be clear about something: this isn't just a show for whoever's watching. This is a test of our resolve—and theirs, assuming they're actually watching.”

Halie stepped closer to Jeane and Silra, her holy symbol still casting its steady glow. “You two are brilliant—absolutely brilliant—but we need to stay grounded here,” she said, her voice firm but not unkind. “Yes, let's give them a show they won't forget. But remember why we're doing this: to protect ourselves and uncover the truth. Not for their amusement or our discomfort.” She turned to face the blank screen directly, letting her light shine upon it with unwavering focus. “I'll support your efforts however I can.”

The air crackled with tension as the three women stood poised in the oppressive gloom, each ready to respond to whatever the room—or the entity within it—might throw at them next.
