The Cromwell Chronicles · The Spiral Run 001

In the depths of a rain-soaked night, Jeane finds herself isolated and on edge in her pine-wooded house. The cold fireplace casts long shadows, its presence a reminder of long-forgotten fires, while the brass lamp casts a warm, if somewhat dim, light on the upholstered chair beside her.

As she listens to the creaks of the floorboards, a sense of unease settles in, and she stands slowly, the iron poker clutched tightly in her hand. The air is heavy with the scent of rain and something else, something unsettling and wrong. As the darkness deepens, Jeane's heart pounds in her chest, and she edges toward the kitchen, the Force moving swiftly through the darkness.
