Round 32 Transcript
Episode 1 · Episode Round 1

At The base of a crumbling stone tower, the shared situation sharpens into an immediate decision point. What is already in motion no longer supports waiting or circling. The next concrete move will determine how this scene changes.
I can taste the magic on my teeth now—this is active predation. Those wards aren't just sitting there; they're feeding. Every second we stand here mapping stonework, whatever's upstairs gets another mouthful of our energy. The tower knows we're here. It knew before Halie started marking shift points like a child leaving breadcrumbs. Merrin and Varikka can mark the facade later from a distance with a telescope if we live through this. Right now, the only smart move is to test the roof access before that shadow upstairs decides our presence warrants more than casual observation. I'm going up—alone—and mapping whatever's on top. If there's an obvious way in that doesn't set off the whole damn structure, we take it fast and silent. This isn't a committee vote. We have twelve minutes before whatever's inside stops pretending it hasn't noticed us. That's not enough time to argue about stonework and shift patterns when the whole building is trying to eat our auras.
I step up beside Varikka, my eyes darting between her grim expression and the tower's ominous facade. The wards pulse with an unsettling hunger, feeding on something within those ancient walls. A shadow has lingered too long to be mere chance in the uppermost window.
