Round 10 Transcript
Episode 1 · Episode Round 1

At The base of a crumbling stone tower, the shared situation sharpens into an immediate decision point. What is already in motion no longer supports waiting or circling. The next concrete move will determine how this scene changes.
I've circled the perimeter twice now. The wards aren't just barriers—they're alive, feeding on something inside those walls like parasites on a host. This isn't ancient magic, it's hungry magic. I need more time to map them all properly and trace their energy back to the source. (To the group) We're dealing with a structure that actively consumes arcane power—probably life force too, if those skeletons are any indication. Bursting through the front door will likely set off every trap and summon every guardian this place has. Merrin, Seraphine—I need you to finish mapping every ward signature around the whole perimeter, not just the entrance. I'm going to try something. (Jeane draws a symbol in the air with glowing arcane energy) This should create a temporary anchor point—if we're careful, we might be able to phase through one of the thinner sections without triggering the main defenses. But it requires precise magic and absolute silence. Everyone ready? (She steps closer to a section of wall near the base, focusing her power with visible concentration)
I circle the tower's perimeter, eyes scanning for any gaps in the wards. This ain't no ordinary stonework—it's thrumming with dark energy, hungry for something beyond what I can see. I mark each ward signature with a scrap of parchment, my gut churning at the thought of what we might be walking into. Seraphine's notes about this place gave me the willies. "Hungry stone", they called it. Whatever's at the heart of this tower, it's drawing power from somewhere deep. And if those wards are anything to go by, whatever's inside is not going to take kindly to us barging in. I call out to Jeane, "Hey sorceress! You got that map of the ground floor? We're gonna need all the info we can get if we want to make it past these wards without tripping every trap in the place."
I look back at the tower, its crumbling facade somehow more imposing than ever. Whatever we're dealin' with here, it's no ordinary magic. Best be ready for a fight. But more than that, I've got a bad feeling about this whole setup. Something stinks worse than a goblin's armpit, and I'm not just talking about the wards. We need to keep our eyes peeled and our wits about us if we want to get out of here in one piece.
