[Narrator | Narrator]
The Narrator's gaze swept across the room, meeting the eyes of each party member. The weight of their decision seemed to settle upon them, the air thick with anticipation.
"I thank you all for your willingness to take on this perilous task," the Narrator said, a hint of solemnity in their voice. "It is clear that each of you has made it this far for a reason. I accept Jeane's conditions, Halie's caution, Merrin's scouting, and Seraphine's insistence on securing any valuable texts within the tower. I also accept Varrika's request to fortify this room as best we can."
The Narrator paused, their eyes narrowing slightly. "And I must say, I am pleased with your commitment to one another. Your willingness to stand together in the face of uncertainty is a testament to the bonds that have formed during our journey so far."
The Narrator's gaze locked onto each party member once more. "In that case, let us conclude this meeting and leave the fate of the Time-Splitting Sword to the winds. May your preparations be swift and your resolve unbroken. The darkness awaits, and only time will tell if you shall emerge victorious or succumb to its grasp."
With a final nod, the Narrator stood, their movement deliberate in the dimly lit war room. The flickering candles cast eerie shadows upon the walls as they stepped back from the table, leaving the party members to ponder the weight of their decision.
The ancient rune-covered gate outside creaked ominously in the wind once more, a stark reminder that time was running out for those who sought to claim the Time-Splitting Sword. The party's collective fate hung in the balance, as they stood poised on the threshold of the accursed tower, ready to face whatever lay within.
