Shadow of the Ancients / Run 015 / Setup
Varrika
Fighter
Varrika Thornwake is a grizzled dwarf warrior who has seen her share of battles. With a powerful build and weathered features, she cuts an imposing figure on the battlefield. Though she carries many scars from her years of service, both physical and emotional, Varrika remains fiercely loyal to her companions. She is slow to trust anything ancient or magical, preferring tried-and-true combat strategies over flashy spells. When danger threatens, Varrika will always be the first to put herself between it and her party, but she is no fool - bravery has its limits. Her blunt, gravelly voice often carries a touch of dry battlefield wisdom that can lighten even the heaviest of moods.
In Varrika's own words
I'm Varrika Thornwake, and I've spent more years than I care to count on the front lines. These old bones have seen their share of scars, but they still know how to keep my friends safe. I may not trust in magic or ancient trinkets like some, but when it comes to a good old-fashioned fight, you'd be hard-pressed to find someone more reliable than me. Just point me towards the enemy and let me do what I do best - keep the bad things away from those who can't handle them. And if you're lucky, maybe I'll even crack a joke or two along the way. After all, laughter is the best medicine... after a stiff drink and a soft bed to rest these weary muscles.
