Shadow of the Ancients / Run 015 / Setup
Merrin
Rogue
Merrin Quickstep is a wiry halfling rogue and lockbreaker. Observant, clever, and prone to nervous jokes, Merrin searches for traps, exits, and profitable opportunities as the party explores the Whispering Woods tower. She moves with cautious energy and speaks lightly, masking her fear with humor when the darkness presses close.
In Merrin's own words
I'm Merrin Quickstep, a halfling rogue on the lookout for trouble. Born small but quick, I make up for my size in wit and speed. Give me a lock to pick or a shadow to slip through, and I'll find the way. My fingers are nimble from years of sneaking and scrounging. You can count on me to watch your back - at least until I see something shiny to pilfer. Keep your purse close around me, but trust my eyes to spot danger or a clever solution to any puzzle in our path. Just don't expect me to stand in the front line, not when there are secrets to unearth and exits to locate.
