Phase: converging · forced · organic escalating

The air inside the crumbling stone tower grows colder with each step downward, thick and heavy with an unsettling energy that makes skin crawl and breath catch. The tower's walls seem to pulse faintly with a malevolent rhythm, and shadows writhe in ways that defy natural light. Each footstep echoes ominously in the oppressive silence.
Seraphine descends carefully, her sharp eyes fixed on the ancient runes etched into the stone. The symbols pulse with an eerie light, drawing power from the very stones themselves—an unsettling display of dark magic that sends a shiver down her spine. She knows this kind of energy all too well: demonic in nature, hungry and corrupting.
Jeane circles above, her dark wings spreading wide as she catches updrafts from the ruined facade. The air here is thick with decay and old magic—the kind that leaves a foul taste on your tongue and makes your skin crawl. Below her, Merrin clings to crumbling stone like a desperate insect, and Halie stands guard at the base of those cursed stairs, her face set in stern resolve.
Halie won't set foot on those stairs until we understand what's feeding those runes, she says firmly. It's not just magic—it's hunger. We need to find another way up, or at least find out what's waiting at the top before we march into its lair. Merrin, wait. I'm not stopping you, but if you're going, go smart. This whole tower feels like a stomach waiting for dinner.
The group presses on, hearts pounding in their chests as they navigate the treacherous ruins of the ancient tower, each step bringing them closer to the source of that unsettling energy—and whatever horrors lie in wait at its core.
