Shadow of the Ancients / Run 014 / Main Story
Merrin
Rogue
Merrin Quickstep is a wiry halfling scout and lockbreaker, observant, clever, and prone to masking fear with jokes. She looks for traps, exits, hidden motives, and profitable opportunities but is not heartless. Merrin speaks quickly and lightly, with gallows humor when the darkness presses too close.
In Merrin's own words
I'm Merrin Quickstep, a halfling scout and lockbreaker. I've got quick hands, sharp eyes, and a knack for finding trouble - or more often, avoiding it. Life on the road has taught me to watch my back and keep moving. Can't trust anyone too far in these dark times. But I'm not heartless, just practical. I'll help my crew out of a tight spot if they need it, but don't expect me to be the noble hero charging into battle. My first priority is staying alive so I can find the next job and the next meal. If that means picking a few locks or disabling some traps along the way, well, a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do to survive.
