Varrika Thornwake, a battle-hardened female dwarf warrior, stands at your side. Her powerful build bears scars from countless conflicts. Though unmistakably feminine, she eschews facial hair common to her kind. Varrika is pragmatic yet fiercely loyal to her companions. She puts herself between danger and the party, but not foolishly so. With a dry wit honed on the battlefield, she's slow to trust anything ancient or imbued with magic. Her gravel-edged sentences often contain hard-won wisdom.

I'm Varrika Thornwake, battle-scarred warrior of the Clanshield Dwarves. This hammer is my shield and my sword, forged in the fires of a hundred skirmishes. I've seen the rise and fall of kings, and I know well the cost of foolish pride. On the field of battle, my kin come first - all else is secondary to their safety. The whispers of magic give me pause; too often they've led to naught but misery. But for those who stand with me in combat, I'll be the bulwark against any foe. Trust is earned, not given lightly, and I expect the same in return. If you fight beside me, know that your life is as precious as my own. And if the day comes when we must fall together - well, there could be no finer end for a dwarf than to die with her shield-brothers at her side.
