Round 7 Transcript

Merrin’s fingertips trace the moss‑covered stone, feeling a subtle vibration beneath the rune‑etched edge—an ancient pressure plate concealed by centuries of lichen. The plate is intact but its trigger mechanism is sealed with a thin, translucent crystal that will not activate until a weight of at least twenty pounds is applied.

Varrika carefully examines the pressure plate, looking for any weaknesses or obvious trigger points. She runs her fingers along the edges of the plate, feeling for any gaps or inconsistencies in the stonework that might indicate a flaw in the mechanism. The dwarf's eyes narrow as she leans in close, her breath misting in the chill air as she inspects the translucent crystal seal. She mumbles under her breath, "Clever trap, but no lock is perfect." Varrika straightens up and glances at Merrin, nodding towards the plate. "Looks like the weight trigger is sealed with a crystal. Might be able to bypass it if we can find the right angle."
