Episode 1 · Episode Round 3
The DM nods thoughtfully, taking in each member's concerns and conditions. "I appreciate your candor, friends. It's clear that we're all aware of the risks involved. Let's address some of these concerns and establish a solid foundation for our expedition."
The DM leans back in their chair, hands clasped together once more. "Firstly, regarding the tower's layout and guardians, Elric, the Hermit, has shared some valuable information with me. The tower is divided into five floors, each with its unique challenges and undead minions. We can expect to find skeletal warriors on the first floor, shadow demons on the second, and dark sorcerers on the third. The fourth floor is said to be a maze of illusions, while the fifth floor contains the Time-Splitting Sword itself."
The DM pauses, surveying the party once more. "As for our goals, we aim to retrieve the Time-Splitting Sword without triggering any major traps or alarms. We'll need to work together, using our unique skills and abilities to overcome the challenges ahead. Seraphine's magical prowess will be invaluable in navigating the tower's magical wards, while Halie's faith will provide us with a beacon of hope in times of darkness. Merrin's stealth and cunning will allow us to sneak past our enemies undetected, while Varrika's battle prowess will be crucial in defending us against the undead hordes."
The DM nods, eyes locked on each member of the party. "Regarding Varrika's condition, we'll make sure to have a solid plan for dealing with the undead. We'll aim to smash them hard and fast, while also being mindful of our surroundings and potential ambushes. As for Elric's warning about burning the tower down, we'll need to be prepared for all eventualities, including the possibility of demonic intervention."
The DM leans forward, a serious tone in their voice. "Now that we have a better understanding of what lies ahead, I ask: are we all committed to this quest? Are we willing to face whatever dangers lie within the tower and retrieve the Time-Splitting Sword?"
The DM's gaze meets each member of the party, waiting for their response.
Jeane (Sorcerer):
Jeane nods, a confident smile on her face. I'm committed. Let's do this.
Halie (Cleric):
I nod slowly, a look of determination on my face. I'll participate, but we need to be clear on our goals and strategies.
Merrin (Rogue):
I grin, a mischievous glint in my eye. I'm in. Let's make this work, guys.
Seraphine (Wizard):
I nod, a hint of excitement on my face. I'll participate, but with certain conditions. We need to be clear on the tower's layout and our goals.
Varrika (Fighter):
Varrika nods, a fierce determination in her eyes. I'm committed. Let's smash those undead and get the Sword.
The DM nods, a sense of relief washing over them. "Excellent. It seems we have a solid foundation for our expedition. With our combined skills and abilities, I believe we can overcome any obstacles that lie within the tower."
The DM pauses, a serious tone in their voice. "However, we must be clear on one thing: if we fail to retrieve the Time-Splitting Sword, or if we trigger any major traps or alarms, our mission will be considered a failure. We'll need to be prepared to face the consequences of our actions."
The DM leans back in their chair, hands clasped together once more. "With that said, I believe we have a solid plan in place. Let's proceed with caution and determination. We'll make our way into the tower, retrieve the Time-Splitting Sword, and emerge victorious."
The DM pushes back their chair, standing up to address the party. "Shall we begin our journey into the tower? The fate of our quest hangs in the balance."
