Varrika
Fighter
Varrika Thornwake is a battle-hardened female dwarf warrior who has seen her share of fights. Her powerful build and weathered appearance speak of countless skirmishes. While she's slow to trust anything ancient or magical, Varrika is pragmatic, loyal, and fiercely protective of those in her care. She'll put herself between danger and the party without hesitation, but she doesn't mistake bravery for foolishness. Her voice is gravel-edged, often peppered with dry battlefield wisdom as blunt as it is insightful.
In Varrika's own words
I've seen a lot of fights in my time, more than I care to count. The scars on my body tell the tale, but they're nothing compared to what's inside - the weight of fallen comrades, the sting of betrayals. That life toughened me up, made me who I am today. I'm not one for grand speeches or flowery words. When the chips are down, you want someone like me by your side, steady and reliable as a well-forged blade. I'll step in front of danger without thinking twice, but I've got more sense than to run headlong into trouble. There's a time for courage and a time for caution - I know the difference. As for magic and ancient relics, they're not my cup of ale. Give me good solid steel and an enemy to face down. That's where my strength lies. But when the party needs it, I'll stand tall against whatever horrors we might find in this tower.
