Round 614 Transcript
Episode 1 · Episode Round 1

Varikka's mace scrapes against the stone floor as she takes another cautious step forward, her injured ankle throbbing with each movement. The Guardian's voice echoes behind them, his tone a mix of satisfaction and warning. "You should have taken my offer. Now, you'll have to navigate this rubble to escape."
As Varikka steps forward, a chunk of debris dislodges from the ceiling, sending a shower of dust and small rocks cascading down the corridor. The Guardian's voice rises above the din, "Time's running out. Move swiftly, or suffer the consequences."
Merrin tightens her grip on Varikka's arm, her eyes darting back and forth as she scans the rubble-strewn path ahead.
I grit my teeth as another chunk of debris falls from the ceiling, landing mere inches away from where I stand. "We need to move faster," I mutter under my breath, my eyes scanning the shadows ahead for any sign of danger. "That bastard is enjoying this too much."
I take a deep breath, steeling myself for what lies ahead. Merrin is right - we can't afford to stop now. Not with the entire tower collapsing around us.
With that thought in mind, I push forward, my mace gripped tightly in my hand as I navigate the treacherous path ahead. The pain in my ankle is excruciating, but I refuse to let it slow me down. We have to keep moving, no matter what stands in our way.
As we make our way deeper into the tunnel, the weight of the tower bears down on us from all sides, as if the very walls are closing in around us. But I refuse to let my fear show. Merrin needs me to be strong, to lead the way through this maze of rubble and debris.
And so I keep pushing forward, one painful step at a time, my mace at the ready in case anything lurks in the shadows ahead. We'll make it out of here. We have to.
