Round 7

As Jeane leaned in closer to the gate's groove, her crimson eyes narrowed with intense focus. The air vibrated with magical energy, and her voice took on an almost feral tone, warning Seraphine about the potential for dormant protections. Halie stepped between them, her gentle hand pressed against Seraphine's back, a silent plea for caution. Her own eyes met Merrin's, a silent wordless communication conveying the importance of stealth over force. With reverent hands, Halie traced the runes around her silver holy symbol, its edges catching the dim light as she worked to decipher the ancient magic.
