As we run towards the partially collapsed archway, Jeane's grip on the ornate box tightens, its pulsing light illuminating the darkening chamber. The sound of falling debris grows louder, and I can feel the ground trembling beneath my feet. "We need to move, now!" I shout above the din, tugging Jeane towards the archway. Suddenly, a loud crack echoes through the chamber, followed by the rumble of falling stone. The archway shudders, and I realize we've just lost our temporary respite. A section of the wall has collapsed, blocking our path. The box in Jeane's hand continues to glow, casting an eerie light on the chaos around us. The darkness closes in, and I can feel the air growing thick with an otherworldly energy. "We need to find another way out," I say, scanning the chamber frantically. "Varrika, can you—"

But before I can finish, a faint whispering fills the air, echoing off the walls. The sound sends shivers down my spine, and I realize that whatever is happening in this chamber, it's not just a simple collapse.

Jeane

Jeane · Sorcerer

Jeane's crimson eyes flash in the pulsing darkness as she clutches the glowing box tighter, its humming seeming to sync with the chamber's unraveling magic. "This is worse than I thought," she mutters, her voice barely audible over the rumbling of collapsing stone. "Whatever Seraphine unleashed... it’s not just destabilizing the tower." The vision she glimpsed—those trapped figures, those twisted corridors—they felt like something ancient and malevolent. She looks at Varrika and Seraphine, both silhouettes in the dim light. We need to get rid of this thing before it draws even more attention.

Seraphine

Seraphine · Wizard

I stare at the collapsed archway, my heart sinking as I realize we have nowhere left to run. The whispering grows louder, an eerie chorus of lost souls echoing through the chamber. Jeane's words about the box make a chilling kind of sense—this thing feels alive, and it's definitely drawing attention.
"I agree," I say, my voice almost lost in the rumble of falling debris. "But getting rid of it won't stop this collapse." I gesture around us at the crumbling walls. "We need to find a way out before the entire tower comes down on our heads."
The humming from the box increases, pulsing in time with the flickering runes. It feels like it's trying to communicate something, but the message is lost in the chaos of our predicament. I reach out, my fingers brushing against the cool metal, and another vision flashes before my eyes—a vast, labyrinthine network of corridors stretching out into infinity, each one containing a trapped soul.
I pull my hand back, a shudder running through me. "The box... it knows every part of this place," I say, my voice trembling slightly. "Every path, every chamber. It could be the key to finding an exit." I look at Jeane, then Varrika. "But if we keep it, we have to be ready for whatever consequences come with it."
As I speak, a massive section of the ceiling above us groans and begins to shift. We have seconds left before it collapses entirely. "We need to move," I shout, pushing past Jeane and Varrika. "There has to be another way out of this damned place!"
