Jeane stepped forward, her crimson eyes scanning the runes with practiced scrutiny. The dark magic pulsed against her skin like a physical force trying to push back, but she stood firm. Her wings beat slowly behind her as she maintained balance while studying the ancient symbols etched into stone.

"This is complex work," Jeane said to Merrin in an authoritative tone, "but I see what you mean about that central sigil. Disrupting it could weaken the skeletons' animation." She raised a hand and traced intricate patterns in the air, arcane energy crackling between her fingertips as she began to weave a spell designed to target specific magical connections.

Merrin moved closer to examine the runes more closely, her fingers tracing the grooves etched into the stone. The dark magic pulsed against her skin, making her flinch slightly. Jeane's right - this is complex work. She pointed out a particular sigil that seemed to be at the heart of the ward network. "See this one here? Disrupting it might weaken the skeletons' animation, but we need to be absolutely precise."

Seraphine watched Jeane work, her sharp eyes fixed on the succubus's every movement. She could feel the faint hum of her own power, waiting to be unleashed, despite the ambient corruption trying to smother it. But she knew better than to rush into spellcasting without a full understanding of what they were dealing with here.

"Disrupting that could weaken them," Seraphine murmured, her voice low and focused as she turned to Merrin. "But we need to be careful. If this is tied to something more powerful inside the tower, we might just summon whatever's truly guarding this place."
