Jeane casts a detection spell. "Nothing." She hisses in frustration. "The Watcher just made this corridor specifically for us, the sneaky bastard." Her wings shift agitatedly as she eyes the dark opening with suspicion. "Fine—if it wants a dance, we'll give it one. But I'm not walking blind into its arms." She raises her crossbow, aiming down the passage with deadly precision.

Seraphine's knuckles are white where she grips her mace. "I'm fine," she says through gritted teeth. "Just... frustrated. And worried." She gestures vaguely at the collapsed passage behind them—where Varrika last stood—and the newly revealed corridor ahead. "We're separated from Merrin and Halie now too. This tower is trying to kill us one by one." Jeane nods grimly, her wings shifting as if restless.
