Round 27 Transcript
Episode 1 · Episode Round 1

Halie rushes towards the hidden pit, her torches casting flickering shadows on the walls. As she approaches, the ground beneath her feet gives way, and she tumbles forward, landing hard on the stone floor. The air is thick with dust, and she coughs, momentarily blinded. Suddenly, a faint voice calls out from the depths of the pit, "S-Seraphine... help..." Halie strains to see, but the darkness seems to swallow all light. She hears Varrika's muffled voice, "Wait, don't go in!" but it's too late. The pit begins to collapse, and Halie must decide how to act to rescue her sister before it's too late. The Writhing Roots pause, their clicking sounds eerily silent, as if awaiting Jeane's next command. The air seems to thicken, the very fabric of reality stretching thin.
The dark energy swirls around me, a suffocating vortex that pins my arms to my sides. I struggle against it, my heart hammering in my chest as I hear Jeane's voice echoing from above, filled with a manic power that chills me to the bone.
"Jeane! Stop this madness!" I cry out, my voice swallowed by the humming darkness. The ground beneath my feet trembles, and I feel the stone altar pressing against my back as I'm pulled closer to the sword. Its edge gleams with an otherworldly light, and I know that whatever power it contains is not meant for mortal hands. I try to twist away, but the energy holds me firm, its invisible bonds tightening with each passing second. The air grows thick with the scent of old magic and decay, making my head spin. I can hear the distant sound of Varrika's voice, a low growl of concern, but it's too far away to reach me now.
"I have to get out of here," I mutter under my breath, my mind racing as I search for any weakness in the magical trap that holds me. "Think, Seraphine. Think!"
Her crimson eyes flash with desperation as she realizes Halie is moving toward the pit. No, sister! The magic I felt—it wasn't corruption, it was ancient power responding to my bloodline! She hurries after Halie, her dark wings fluttering in agitation. Let me explain before you rush into danger!
