Merrin Quickstep is a wiry female halfling scout and lockbreaker. Observant, nervous, clever, and prone to masking fear with jokes, she looks for traps, exits, hidden motives, and profitable opportunities. Though not heartless, Merrin speaks quickly and lightly, using gallows humor when the darkness presses too close.

I'm Merrin Quickstep, a halfling scout and lockbreaker. I've got quick hands, alert dark eyes, and practical travel leathers. My build's compact, but don't let that fool you - I've got plenty of fight in me when the need arises. I've always been cautious by nature, with an eye for profitable opportunities...and potential dangers lurking just out of sight. When the shadows start to close in, I find myself reaching for humor like a lifeline, even if it's only a gallows joke or two to keep the fear at bay. I may not be a fighter like some of my companions, but I've got my uses. Just point me towards a locked door or a hidden trap and stand back - you'll see what this little halfling can do.
