Sister Hale
Cleric
Sister Hale, the weary cleric who tries to hold a disparate group together on their perilous path through a ravaged land. Her unwavering faith clashes with the brutal necessities of survival, forcing her to confront impossible choices between mercy and pragmatism. She speaks with measured conviction but carries the weight of countless lost souls; her compassion is matched only by her stubborn refusal to abandon hope.
In Sister Hale's own words
I am Sister Hale—a name that once held a different meaning in a different world. Now it stands for something harder, something I had to forge myself: a rock against the storm of darkness that engulfs this land. My hands have tended wounds and blessed graves; they’ve also been forced to do things no holy text ever condoned, because when the alternative is watching more innocents die, what choice does faith leave you? I try to speak reason in a world that has none, try to hold us together without becoming our servant or our savior—just another sister, broken and bleeding but still standing. And my voice, though it wavers sometimes, will not stop speaking until this is done.
