Round 2 Transcript
Episode 1 · Episode Round 2
The Narrator restates the undertaking plainly, fixes the stakes in the room, and presses the cast to make their positions clear before the meeting can end.
Jeane rises slowly from her seat, letting silence settle like dust. I will not lead the mad into certain death. If Gravedigger's fear is genuine—a real thing with teeth under those streets—then we rebuild this church on borrowed time and a prayer. We need guards bought, wards set before any construction begins, and absolute clarity on what 'thing' we're dancing with in the dark. I am no martyr; my power has purpose, and that purpose includes survival.
Silra leans back against the wall, lantern light catching the dust in her hair. I'm no one's martyr either. So here's my position: If 'something' under the streets is a known quantity—like a pack of ghouls or a nest of goblins with bad attitudes—I'll help clear them out and hammer nails for my share of the take. But if we're dealing with something that eats sorcerers whole before they can cast a single spell, I'm not signing up to be cult-fodder in someone else's horror story.
I look at my companions with eyes that have seen too much to flinch now. I will participate, but let me be plain—this is not merely about accumulating followers or amassing wealth. We are walking into a city where faith has died and despair reigns, and something profane has taken root in the darkness below. Gravedigger's terror was real—I saw it in his eyes—and whatever moves under those streets threatens more than our physical safety.
