Phase: converging · forced · organic escalating

As the channel continued its relentless march toward filling the gap between the structures, the ground beneath the bridge shuddered once more, the sound of rushing water growing louder with each passing moment. Silra's eyes narrowed, her gaze locked onto Jeane as the rusted key's vibration against her palm intensified, its ancient power pressing harder with tactical precision. The air seemed to vibrate with an otherworldly energy, and she could feel the weight of Gravehill's corruption bearing down upon them.
Jeane's fingers crackled with arcane energy, her exhaustion threatening to consume her, yet she stood firm at the edge of the bridge, her voice controlled despite the strain on her defensive posture. "Whatever lies beyond this point," she said, meeting Silra halfway across the bridge, "I believe it's waiting for us. The timing is too precise, the pressure too calculated. We're trapped inside Gravehill, and whatever is controlling this containment protocol has a purpose."
Silra's response was immediate, her voice laced with a mix of unease and resolve. "I don't trust this timing precision," she said, her eyes scanning the bridge behind them as if searching for an escape route that didn't exist. "Whoever orchestrated this wanted us trapped specifically inside Gravehill, with no escape options through normal channels." The rusted key felt almost liquid-hot against her palm, its power surging through her like a dark, corrupting force.
