As Jeane descended into the main tunnel, her arcane light casting eerie shadows on the walls, the scuttling noise from below grew more intense. Gravedigger Renn's frantic warnings still echoed in her mind, his words "the tunnels" and "danger below" etched into her consciousness like a mantra. She scanned the tunnel network with arcane detection spells, her crimson eyes gleaming with dark calculation as she searched for any signs of hidden threats. The air was heavy with the stench of decay and ash, the smell of Gravehill's ruined streets lingering beneath.

With a flick of her wrist, Jeane activated her prepared entry spell, suspended midair above the tunnel entrance. Her gaze darted between the tunnel entrances and the alleyway where Sister Hale had been pulled into darkness, her thoughts racing ahead of the attack. The chitinous clicks echoed through the tunnels ahead, suggesting a larger force gathering somewhere. As she assessed the situation, fresh ash spilled out from the grating, swirling around her feet like a dark mist.

The creatures, with their too many legs and eyes that caught her arcane light like polished obsidian, emerged from the shadows, their movement almost synchronized. Jeane's mind worked swiftly, piecing together the threat they posed, but she remained focused, her thoughts racing ahead of the attack. She knew that Sister Hale was still out there, pulled by some unknown force, and Gravedigger Renn's warnings still lingered in her mind, a reminder of the dangers that lay beneath Gravehill's streets.
