Phase: escalating

As Gravedigger Renn burst forth from a nearby alleyway, his eyes wide with terror, he spotted the trio huddled together in the rain-soaked darkness. The ash-choked road outside Gravehill ruins stretched out before them like a desolate grave, the only sound the ominous humming that still echoed through the ruins. "Danger below!" Renn warned, his voice barely above a whisper, as if the very act of speaking might summon the horrors lurking in the tunnels.
Jeane's crimson eyes narrowed as she listened intently to Renn's panicked warning, her hand still radiating arcane energy. The air seemed to vibrate with tension as she processed the information, her expression grim but calculated. "Every moment we waste here increases our risk," she said firmly, glancing back at Sister Hale and Silra before focusing on the gruff informant. "We need to regroup immediately."
Sister Hale's eyes were fixed intently on the spot where she had been pulled into the alleyway, her gaze lingering on the cold metal grate as if searching for some hidden clue. Silra crouched lower, pressing her ear against the grate, trying to filter out the rain and whispering rasp. "Multiple heartbeats," she whispered, her voice barely audible over the stormy din. "Not human. Too many legs. Coordinated movement." Her eyes met Jeane's, a flicker of concern dancing in their depths before she turned back to the grate, her focus unwavering.
