I strain my ears to hear any response from Jeane or Silra, my eyes fixed on the shadowed gap between collapsed buildings where I was pulled in. The air is thick with ash and an otherworldly scent, and the ground beneath me feels like it's being slowly swallowed by some unseen force. Water drips constantly onto stone, echoing through the narrow space like a steady heartbeat. The lantern's light casts eerie shadows on the walls, illuminating the same carved symbols Jeane mentioned earlier—ancient worship sites or something worse? My grip on the rusted key tightens as I wait for any sign of my companions, my fingers itching to use its dark energy again if necessary. Suddenly, a faint whispering reaches me from deeper in the ruin, the raspy voice sending shivers down my spine. "You shouldn't be here..." it hisses, the words barely audible over the scuttling below. I freeze, my heart racing with a mix of fear and adrenaline.

Jeane

Jeane · Sorcerer

Jeane's eyes narrow as she listens intently for any response from you. The whispering is getting louder now—someone or something is definitely in these ruins with us. She takes a step forward, her hand still raised with arcane energy swirling around it. We can't afford to be split up like this; whatever grabbed Sister Hale might be using her as bait to lure us into an ambush. Jeane's voice lowers slightly as she considers the situation. I'm going to try and pinpoint where that voice is coming from—I think it might lead us to Sister Hale or at least give us more information on what we're dealing with down here. She begins weaving another spell, this one designed for detection rather than combat.

Suddenly, a loud crash echoes through the ruins—it sounds like something heavy collapsing even deeper within. That's not good... Jeane mutters, her expression darkening. Whatever's happening in there, it's getting closer. She looks at you with determination in her eyes. Stay alert and keep your guard up. If those things from before are coordinating now, they might be using the tunnels under Gravehill to move around undetected. Jeane takes a deep breath, steeling herself. I'm going to move forward slowly—if there's any sign of Sister Hale or more of those creatures, call out immediately. With that, Jeane begins to carefully make her way deeper into the ruins, her steps silent despite the debris scattered everywhere. The arcane energy around her hand pulses with each step, ready to unleash at a moment's notice.

Silra

Silra · Rogue

I move toward where Sister Hale was pulled—tracking in the ash where something heavy dragged across the street—and listen for any sound of her struggling. The whispering is getting closer now, and I don't like that we're split up with multiple threats active below ground level. This whole situation screams ambush waiting to happen if we don't regroup fast.
