As Sister Hale stepped forward, her slender form cutting through the shadows like a blade, Jeane's crimson eyes narrowed, watching the exchange between the cleric and Gravedigger Renn. The rustling underfoot had intensified since Hale began questioning Renn, and now even the ground itself seemed to be urging them toward shelter.

Sister Hale met Gravedigger Renn's sunken eyes evenly, her copper coin and pious questioning extracting different information than Silra's silver and pragmatism would have. The Red Hand symbol on graves was a useful marker to avoid, but Jeane couldn't shake the feeling that Renn's fear was genuine, not just cheap horror stories.

The rustling sound beneath them felt like a warning, growing louder with each passing moment. Silra glances between Jeane and Sister Hale—both trying to control the conversation's direction. Five minutes until they were supposed to meet Renn at the church door for real information about traps inside. Either he showed up with useful intelligence or he didn't show at all, which meant he sold them out already.

Jeane took a moment to process her recent turns as recalled by the memory tool, noting the recurring theme of information management and prioritizing the unknown key Hale acquired from Renn. She had been analyzing tactical situations through strategic lenses, trying to balance immediate threats with long-term objectives.
